The catering service is reserved for students enrolled on degree, specialisation and PhD courses at the University of Cagliari, courses at the Pontifical Theological Faculty of Sardinia and the Higher Institute of Religious Sciences (Cagliari campus), the State Music Conservatory of Cagliari, and the Verbum Higher School for Linguistic Mediators.
Meal prices, categorized into five brackets, are individually determined based on the student’s ISEE and the number of years they have been at university.
Scholarship students who live on campus (based on their registered place of residence) receive one free meal a day for the entire academic year.
Scholarship students who live off campus (based on their registered place of residence) are eligible for 275 free meals during the academic year (number may vary), with a maximum of two meals per day, with a reduction of the scholarship amount as outlined in the notice of competition.
Students who are eligible for the catering service, but are not on the scholarship, will benefit as follows:
- First-year students: Price per meal is the same as one for the first income bracket
- Subsequent years: Use of the catering service is unlimited and free of charge
Students with disabilities may use the catering service for two meals a day if they fall into at least one of the following categories:
- they reside in halls of residence;
- they have a disability equal to or exceeding 66%;
- they have a disability of at least 45% and meet the income requirements for the scholarship.
The following other students may use the catering service with a different price per meal depending on the category:
- Students enrolled at other universities
- EU and non-EU students taking part in cultural exchange initiatives
- Scholarship holders from the University and public research organisations
- First and second level master's degree students at the University of Cagliari
- Students enrolled on single courses
- Students commuting to secondary schools based in Cagliari
- Non-teaching staff at the University of Cagliari
- Researchers on fixed-term contracts and research grant holders at the University of Cagliari
- ERSU Cagliari employees
- University professors (confirmed researchers, associate professors, and full professors)
- Any other concession users.
The catering service is available at the four ERSU Cagliari university canteens:
- Canteen at Via Premuda, 10, currently closed for refurbishment.
- New canteen temporarily replacing Via Premuda, at the San Massimiliano Kolbe Institute in Via Sulcis 1, Cagliari. Meals are served from Monday to Friday, from 12:00 to 14:30 (lunch) and from 19:00 to 21:00 (dinner), and on Saturdays from 12:00 to 14:30 (lunch only).
- Canteen in Via Trentino. Meals are served from Monday to Sunday, from 12:00 to 14:30 (lunch) and from 19:00 to 21:00 (dinner).
- Canteen in Piazza Michelangelo 24. Meals are served from Monday to Sunday, from 12:00 to 14:30 (lunch) and from 19:00 to 21:00 (dinner).
