Rent allowance is aimed at reducing rental costs.

Rent allowance is reserved for students enrolled or intending to enrol on degree courses at the University of Cagliari, the Pontifical Theological Faculty of Sardinia and the Higher Institute of Religious Sciences (Cagliari campus), the State Music Conservatory of Cagliari, and the Verbum Higher School for Linguistic Mediators.

Rent allowance is awarded by means of a competition process on the basis of specific income and academic achievement requirements and is aimed at students residing off campus who were born or have been residing in Sardinia for at least 5 years, and who enter into a rental contract of the duration indicated in the competition notice in the academic year of reference.

Rent allowance cannot be claimed if the student has been awarded the scholarship, although it is compatible with the special grant.

The online application for rent allowance can be submitted by accessing the Student Portal.

Applicants wishing to request information from the Right to Study Office can do so by accessing their reserved area of the Student Portal, via the ‘ticket’ service, and view the University’s response to any tickets submitted.
