The Ersu of Cagliari is pleased to inform that the personalised Carta Giovani Sardegna Ersu and University of Cagliari has been activated, following the Convention stipulated between the organisation and Eurodesk Italy and under the patronage of the University of Cagliari.

Membership of the "Carta Giovani Sardegna" is free of charge and offers young people (14-30 years old) a range of services and opportunities, such as access to discounts, concessions and mobility initiatives proposed by affiliated operators in Sardinia, Italy and all over Europe; moreover, the "Carta Giovani" encourages multicultural links with other young Europeans.

Students enrolled at the University of Cagliari, at the courses of study of the Pontifical Theological Faculty of Sardinia, at the Higher Institute of Religious Sciences of Cagliari, at the State Music Conservatory of Cagliari and at the Higher School for Linguistic Mediators Verbum, can join the personalised Carta Giovani Sardegna in order to benefit from further advantages dedicated to them.

"The memorandum of understanding signed between the Carta Giovani Sardegna and Ersu Cagliari/University of Cagliari represents a further step towards reaching an ever wider audience of card users, also within the university environment.

In addition to regional, national and European discount opportunities, young university students, in possession of the Carta Giovani Sardegna, will be able to access a series of services (from orientation meetings to information sessions) aimed at ensuring the best paths of personal growth and designed to increase the opportunities for a future that lives up to their expectations," said jointly the President of the Board of ERSU Cagliari, Cosimo Ghiani, and the President of Eurodesk Italy, Ramon G. M. Magi.

Carta Giovani Sardegna is a project promoted and managed by Eurodesk Italy under the patronage of the Autonomous Region of Sardinia and in agreement with the European Youth Card Association (EYCA). The European Youth Card Association is a non-profit non-governmental association based in Brussels and composed of 40 organisations which issue the European Card to over 8 million young people in 38 European countries.

The European networks Eurodesk and EYCA are among the most important European organisations active in the field of youth policy.
