Please note that on 25.09.2025 at 13.30 p.m., the procedure for completing online applications for the canteen service for the academic year 2025/2026 will be activated on the “Student Portal”, accessible via the link on the homepage of this website.
Please note that on 25.09.2025 at 13.30 p.m., the procedure for completing online applications for the canteen service for the academic year 2025/2026 will be activated on the “Student Portal”, accessible via the link on the homepage of the website www.ersucagliari.it.
To access the Canteen Request section, you must have completed the accreditation process on the aforementioned Portal. Please note that to access the Student Portal:
- students must have SPID credentials (at least level 2) or an Electronic Identity Card (CIE);
- foreign/Erasmus students can register and access the service even without SPID/CIE, indicating during registration that they are foreign students and do not have documents issued by the Italian authorities; in this case, it is essential to indicate the address of the country of origin in the “dati di residenza” section of the personal data form, while in the next section, “domicilio”, the address of residence in Sardinia must be registered, indicating the exact postcode in the appropriate field.
Students who wish to access reduced rates must have a valid ISEE for the right to education with specific reference to benefits for the right to university education (the DSU alone is not sufficient) and enter the data relating to the INPS protocol of the ISEE in the appropriate section of the canteen application.
In the absence of a valid ISEE, it will be possible to use the canteen service at the maximum rate.
Please note that students who have applied for a scholarship and/or accommodation for the 2025/2026 academic year do not need to apply for the canteen, as this is already included in the scholarship/accommodation application.
Once the application has been completed, all users, including those who have applied for a scholarship and/or accommodation, must, if they have not already done so, proceed to submit, through the REGISTRATIONE section - modifica i tuoi dati anagrafici(click on the “AVANTI” button until you reach the “fotografia” section) section of the portal, a photograph on a light background in JPG format that clearly shows the user's face without other people or objects visible. It is recommended that you strictly follow the instructions regarding the quality and format of the photograph, suggesting a format similar to that of a passport photo.
Students with disabilities who meet the requirements set out in the regulations and who wish to take advantage of free meals are required to submit, via the CARICA DOCUMENTI section “Carica documenti per L'A.A. 2025/2026” and then RICHIESTA MENSA - Certificazione della condizione di disabilità, a copy of the disability assessment report. In the absence of such documentation, the tariff band will be assigned on the basis of the ISEE (Equivalent Economic Situation Indicator) communicated, if available, or the maximum band in the absence of ISEE.
Foreign students in particularly difficult financial circumstances, duly documented, may access the catering service free of charge and without limits if they are not recipients of a scholarship granted by ERSU or other bodies or institutions for the current academic year.
The documentation to be submitted to the Catering Office for the assessment of economic and financial status - which must contain an explicit indication of the state of economic hardship, as specified in the call for applications for scholarships and accommodation - must be uploaded via the CARICA DOCUMENTI section - “Documentazione per il calcolo degli indicatori di reddito e patrimoniali per studenti stranieri”.
Once the application has been uploaded, it will be possible, starting from 1st October 2025 and again via the Student Portal in the QR code section, to generate the new Virtual Card consisting of a QR code to be used at the entrance to the self-service line of the canteens, which contains the student's personal code and other necessary data in compliance with privacy protection.
In order to generate the QR code, it is mandatory to have uploaded a photograph via the “Upload documents” section of the portal. The system generates the QR code for association with the APP after at least 60 minutes.
Students who have applied for a scholarship and/or accommodation for the academic year 2025/2026 can proceed directly to generating the QR code, which will be usable from 1st October 2025, provided they have uploaded their photograph.
The card is dematerialised and is delivered via an app called “APPappai ERSU-CA”, which can be downloaded from the main app stores. This app allows students to be uniquely identified by generating a dynamic QR code, preventing the “promiscuous” use of the QR code assigned to a user by third parties, even in cases where the holder has provided their QR code to them.
The same app allows users to access the institution's canteens by booking their meals, in order to reduce waiting times, decongest the service and optimally distribute users of the busiest canteens. It will also allow users to request takeaway meals.
Once the software has been implemented, it will be possible to top up your electronic wallet via the app.
The subsequent implementation within the app and/or on the user's personal page on the Student Portal of a module that allows customer satisfaction surveys to be carried out in order to monitor the quality of the catering service in a timely manner will also be evaluated.
The technical operating procedures of the app have been explained in a more detailed notice prepared by the offices.
Once the virtual card has been activated, in order to consume meals, it will be necessary to top it up (the so-called “electronic wallet”) from your personal area of the Student Portal, via the PagoPa system.
Users can monitor their wallet top-ups from their personal area on the Student Portal and from the Sardinia Region payment portal.
Top-ups are allowed up to a maximum of € 50,00.
When the QR code is scanned at the entrance to the self-service line, an amount equal to the fare for the cardholder will be deducted from the electronic wallet.
For categories of students entitled to free meals, these will be automatically loaded and can be used, via the Virtual Card, in accordance with the provisions and limits set out in the ERSU regulations.
Until the publication of the final ranking list for scholarships for the 2025/2026 academic year, scholarship students for the 2024/2025 academic year and other categories of users who have free meals remaining from 1 October, may continue to use them via the Virtual Card until they are used up or, if earlier, until the date of publication of the aforementioned ranking list.
For anything not expressly indicated in this notice and for service rates, please refer to the new 'Regulations and service charter for the catering service' for the academic year 2025/2026, adopted by resolution no. 26 of 29 July 2025 by the Board of Directors of ERSU Cagliari and also published in the “Catering Service” section of the ERSU Cagliari website.
