In order to assess the possibility of summer stays in August as soon as the opening date of the Viale La Plaia Campus is confirmed, the Organisation needs to receive applications from individuals who intend to use this paid service.
From July 9, 2024, to July 20, 2024, individuals, interested in staying at the Emilio Lussu Campus on Viale La Plaia (Cagliari) for a fee, can apply by sending an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
Once the Organisation confirms the opening of the Viale La Plaia Campus, the Accommodation Office will notify applicants via email of the official start of the accommodation service, the procedures for check-in and payment, and the date when Campus access will be available.
The following are eligible to apply with a right of precedence:
- Students currently residing at the La Plaia "Emilio Lussu" Campus and the Via Businco Halls of Residence;
- • University of Cagliari students enrolled on diploma, Bachelor's, single-cycle Master's, specialist & two-year Master's degree programmes, as well as specialisation courses, and PhDs; students of the Pontifical Faculty of Theology of Sardinia; the Higher Institute of Religious Sciences of Cagliari; the State Conservatory of Music in Cagliari (three-year first-level and two-year second-level courses); and of the Verbum School for Linguistic Mediators.
Applications will be reviewed by the relevant Office. Once the Organisation confirms the opening of the Viale La Plaia Campus, it will allocate places based on the valid ISEE value issued for subsidised university study benefits, in ascending order. In case of a tie, priority will be given to the applicant with the longest required period of stay, followed by academic seniority.
The accommodation fee is €188.00.
The following categories may also apply:
- Recent graduates providing suitable documentation demonstrating their participation in postgraduate training courses, Master's degree programmes, or preparation courses for state exams;
- Erasmus students and other international mobility students;
- International students enrolled on PhD, specialisation, and Master's programmes at the University of Cagliari, as well as students enrolled at other universities;
- Visiting Professors, including: scholarship holders and researchers, university lecturers, academics, and research fellows, as well as conference guests
Applications from these categories will be processed in the order in which they are received.

Services
The rate includes end-of-stay cleaning. The rate for additional cleaning, to be agreed with the Accommodation Office, is €13.00 for single rooms and €16.00 for twin rooms. A bed linen kit is available on request (while supplies last).
The rates for accommodation for lecturers, researchers, conference guests, PhD students, scholarship holders and other guests shall be subject to the statutory 10% VAT.
Guests are required to pay a deposit of €162, which will be refunded, if no deductions are made, within 60 days of the end of their stay. At the time of the official request, the guests must produce a valid identity document and tax code. International guests must also provide a residence permit. All guests must register on the Student Portal (ERSU Cagliari).
A ranking will be produced according to the criteria established by the Regulations, and the Accommodation Office will communicate the procedures for check-in.
